One morning I got called to be a guard at Waitomo caves. I asked what time to start they said at 8am. The next day I went to Waitomo caves. There were two guys standing there. I asked them why are they here? They replied with were here to escort you safely into the cave. As they put the safety belt on and the rope attached I was thinking what animals were down there I already knew there were lizards and spiders but I did not know all of the animals that live down there. As I descended I saw a lot of spider webs. When I reached the bottom of the cave it was dark. When it was 8:30am the tourist started to come down. As the tourist came down my job was to get them safely into the cave. As time passed, more and more tourists came down. I got a call from the guys who helped me get down into the cave. They said it's time to go. I said time to go where they said home. As I was ascending I was thinking of home. When I got into the car I felt that I wanted to go back into the cave. When it was 9:28am when we arrived at my house I went in and said farewell to the guys who gave me a ride home as I went inside I was sleepy so I sat on the couch to watch some news the next day I got a call from the same guy again this time he said to go to rangitoto lava caves I was excited my head blew up with joy I got to get into another caves the name made me scared lava caves but hyper at the same time when I got there at the caves there was no lava just a caves but the thing that made me excited was that the cave was going into a volcano as I went is it was not very dark it was lit up with light as there were holes from the ceiling which the light was able to penetrate. I went deeper into the cave. There were more things hanging out of the sealing and on the floor they looked like spikes. 1hour later the caves were flooded with people lines and lines of tourists going deeper into the cave. I didn't think water would be down at the lava caves cause it was called the lava caves. When the cave closed I went back home to get a good night's sleep.
