`Area and Perimeter

Area is the number of square centimeter in the shape. We can work this out by multiplying the the sides. SxS= Area 2x3=6 The area of this shapes is 6 cm2. Perimeter is the distance around the outside of the shape we work this out by adding the sides together. S+S+S+S = Perimeter. 2+3+2+3= 10 cm The perimeter of this shape is 10cm.

Task two

Use square paper to write the first letter of your name as a block letter. Colour it in and then work out the area and perimeter of the letter.

The Tuesday race

On a Tuesday we went outside and did some relays. So we walked outside in our team lines. But Mr Moran gave us a challenge. To walk silently and to walk in a still line. So we did and we walked to the field and sat down on the grass. And then Mr Moran told us what to do. Then after five mins we finally did our relays. But i had to wait for it to be my turn so i waited for 3 mins. Then it was my turn then i standed up and got ready and then Mr Moran said get set go so then i zoomed to be in first place.
